During the Lahore International Book Fair, an insightful talk on Climate Action and Electric Vehicle (EV) Adoption was delivered by Dr. Aazir on 8th February 2026. The session formed part of the intellectual engagements organized under Lahore International Book Fair (LIBFAL).

In his address, Dr. Aazir emphasized the urgent need to confront climate change through practical and technology-driven solutions. He highlighted how transportation remains one of the major contributors to greenhouse gas emissions and explained how the transition toward electric vehicles can significantly reduce carbon footprints, improve urban air quality, and support sustainable economic growth.

The talk focused on:

  • The environmental impact of conventional fuel-based transportation
  • The importance of accelerating EV adoption in Pakistan
  • Policy frameworks and infrastructure development for EV ecosystems
  • The role of research institutions and industry collaboration
  • Youth engagement and awareness for climate responsibility

Dr. Aazir stressed that climate action is not solely a governmental responsibility but a collective mission requiring participation from academia, industry, policymakers, and the public. Addressing a diverse audience at the book fair, he connected environmental sustainability with education and innovation, reinforcing the idea that knowledge platforms play a crucial role in shaping a greener future.

In recognition of his valuable contribution and advocacy for sustainable mobility, an Acknowledgement Award was presented during the fair, which was held from 4th to 8th February 2026. The 35th Lahore International Book Fair once again demonstrated that beyond literature, it serves as a dynamic platform for discussing pressing global challenges — bringing climate action and clean energy solutions into mainstream conversation.
